2 § a right against Sanlam in terms of the Pukwana ya Kganya insurance contract or the Thari ya Baruti Pukwana ya Kganya insurance contract for the insured benefits. o As a member beneficiary, you can rest assured that the Kganya Benefits Fund Trust will pay the premiums to Sanlam for as long as you pay your monthly membership contribution to the Kganya Benefits Fund Trust. Please note: If you do not pay your membership contribution to the Kganya Benefits Fund Trust, the Kganya Benefits Fund Trust will not pay the premiums in terms of your Pukwana ya Kganya contract to Sanlam and your valuable insurance benefits may be forfeited . o By receiving a Pukwana ya Kganya insurance contract or a Thari ya Baruti Pukwana ya Kganya insurance contract, if you have a claim for any of the insured benefits, you have to claim against Sanlam. Your claim will however only be valid if you meet the terms and conditions of the Pukwana ya Kganya insurance contract or the Thari ya Baruti Pukwana ya Kganya insurance contract. This requires, amongst other things, that you must pay your monthly membership contributions to the Kganya Benefits Fund Trust. o Kganya Insurance Administrators (RF) Proprietary Limited will continue to administer the insured benefits. This means that there will be no difference in the way claims for insured benefits are handled. • The changes to your membership in terms of the non-insured benefits are as follows: o The Kganya Benefits Fund Trust will, from your monthly membership contribution, make a donation to the ZCC on your behalf as a member beneficiary. o The Kganya Benefits Fund Trust will continue to provide and/or procure access to the non-insured benefits, being the Leeto la Moria benefits, roadside assistance benefits, funerary management benefits and good health assessment benefits (in the case of church committee members who are member beneficiaries) in exactly the same way . Must I continue to pay my membership contributions? Will my membership contributions change? • As a member of the Kganya Benefits Fund Trust, you must continue to pay your monthly membership contribution at the various Church branches. As has been the practice to date, a receipt will be issued to you when you pay your monthly membership contribution. • The church committees will deposit the proceeds of membership contributions into a bank account in the name of the Kganya Benefits Fund Trust. • By paying your monthly membership contributions, you ensure your membership to the Kganya Benefits Fund Trust as a member beneficiary. • Please note that your monthly membership contributions will remain the same and will not change or be affected as a result of the changes. What is the Pukwana ya Kganya insurance contract? • The Pukwana ya Kganya insurance contract is an insurance policy that is underwritten by Sanlam Developing Markets Limited. • If you are a member beneficiary of the Kganya Benefits Fund Trust, you will receive the Pukwana ya Kganya insurance contract to provide for the insured benefits previously procured by the Kganya Benefits Fund Trust. • The Pukwana ya Kganya insurance contract consists of two insurance policies which are offered as part of your membership to the Kganya Benefits Fund Trust: o a Pukwana ya Kganya Funeral Policy for funeral benefits; and
