27 4. Commencement 4.1 These Enhanced Benefits Regulations commence with effect from the Commencement Date and shall endure until terminated by the Trust in accordance with the Master Regulations. 4.2 These Enhanced Benefits Regulations replace in totality all regulations previously issued by the Trust dealing with the same matters as set out herein, with effect from the Commencement Date. 5. The Master Regulations These Enhanced Benefits Regulations must at all times be read with the Master Regulations, and all terms and conditions set out in the Master Regulations apply to the Enhanced Benefits and these Enhanced Benefits Regulations. 6. Enhanced Benefits 6.1 General 6.1.1 The Trust shall procure and/or provide the Enhanced Benefits as set out in these Enhanced Benefits Regulations for all Members who - 6.1.1.1 satisfy the requirements for membership as set out in the Master Regulations; 6.1.1.2 have paid their Membership Contributions to the Trust as set out in the Master Regulations; and 6.1.1.3 qualify as Members in Good Standing for purposes of the Enhanced Ancillary Benefits, subject to the terms and conditions of these Enhanced Benefits Regulations. 6.1.2 The Trust shall use its best endeavours to ensure that the Enhanced Benefits provided and/or procured in terms of these Enhanced Benefits Regulations meet the following principles: 6.1.2.1 appropriate and affordably priced products and services; and 6.1.2.2 structuring and describing the Enhanced Benefits in a simple and easy to understand manner. 6.2 The Enhanced Benefits 6.2.1 The Trust shall procure and/or provide the following Enhanced Benefits to the Members, subject to regulation 6.1.1 above, read with the Master Regulations: 6.2.1.1 access to the Thari ya Baruti Pukwana ya Kganya Contract for the provision of - 6.2.1.1.1 insurance cover and funeral (burial) benefits and Additional Funeral Benefits in terms of a Thari ya Baruti Funeral Policy; and 6.2.1.1.2 insurance cover and i) dread disease benefits; ii) personal accident benefits; and iii) Additional Personal Accident Benefits, in terms of a Thari ya Baruti Dread Disease and Personal Accident Policy, 6.2.1.2 payment of the monthly premiums due in terms of the Thari ya Baruti Pukwana ya Kganya Contract; and 6.2.1.3 the Enhanced Ancillary Benefits. 6.2.2 The Member’s access to the Thari ya Baruti Pukwana ya Kganya Contract shall at all times consist of a Thari ya Baruti Funeral Policy and Thari ya Baruti Dread Disease and Personal Accident Policy as part of the Member’s entitlement to Enhanced Benefits. 6.2.3 The Trust shall only make payment of the premiums due in terms of the Thari ya Baruti Pukwana ya Kganya Contract if a Member has paid his Membership Contributions, as provided for in the Master Regulations, to the Trust. If a Member fails to pay a Monthly Membership Contribution to the Trust, the Trust shall not be obliged, and shall no longer pay, the premiums due in terms of the Thari ya Baruti Pukwana ya Kganya Contract in respect of such a Member until the Member resumes payment of his/her Membership Contribution. The cover and benefits as set out in the Thari ya Baruti Pukwana ya Kganya Contract may, in such case, be forfeited and will be dealt with as prescribed in the Thari ya Baruti Pukwana ya Kganya Contract. 6.2.4 In the event of a failure by a Member to pay his Membership Contribution(s), the Enhanced Benefits will be dealt with in the manner set out in the Master Regulations, read with these Enhanced Benefits Regulations. 6.3 Enhanced Ancillary Benefits 6.3.1 The Trust shall, as part of the Enhanced Benefits, procure and/or provide the following Enhanced Ancillary Benefits to the Church Officials who are Members: 6.3.1.1 Roadside Assistance Benefits; 6.3.1.2 Leeto la Moria (Discounted Transport) Benefits; 6.3.1.3 Funerary Management Benefits; and 6.3.1.4 Lekgotla la Moruti Good Health Assessment Benefits, set out below. 6.3.2 Roadside Assistance Benefits 6.3.2.1 Definitions For purposes of the Roadside Assistance Benefits, the following words and phrases shall bear the following meanings: 6.3.2.1.1 “ Event ” means the religious celebrations held at Zion City during April, September and December of each year; 6.3.2.1.2 “ Journey ” means the journey undertaken by a Member in Good Standing in a Motor Vehicle for the sole and exclusive purpose of attending an Event; 6.3.2.1.3 “ Member in Good Standing ” means a Member who meets the requirements as set out in regulation 6.3.2.3; 6.3.2.1.4 “ Motor Vehicle ” means a motor vehicle that does not weigh more than 3,500kg; and 6.3.2.1.5 “ Service Provider ” means the service provider appointed from time to time by the Trust to provide the Roadside Assistance Benefits. 6.3.2.2 The Roadside Assistance Benefits 6.3.2.2.1 The Trust may from time to time procure the Roadside Assistance Benefits from the Service Provider for all Members in Good Standing.
