74 2.3 The Monthly Vouchers may not be redeemed for cash and may only be used as payment for goods purchased at the retailers listed in Annexe E.6 . 2.4 Upon the happening of an Insured Event, the Basic Needs Benefit payable in terms of this Thari ya Baruti Basic Needs Benefit Policy in the form of Monthly Vouchers will be paid by the Insurer to - 2.4.1 the Policyholder, in the event of – 2.4.1.1A the death of a Dependent Child ; 83 2.4.1.1 the Permanent Disability of the Policyholder or Dependent Chil d; 84 o r 2.4.1.2 the contraction, experience or suffering of a Dread Disease by the Policyholder, and/or 2.4.2 the nominated Beneficiary, in the event of the death of a Policyholder, subject to the provisions of clause 6 of this Part V. 2.5 Core Basic Needs Benefit 2.5.1 A Claim for the core Basic Needs Benefit will be paid upon the happening of an Insured Event, in the event that - 2.5.1.1 a Claim for a Funeral Benefit is approved in terms of the Thari ya Baruti Funeral Policy in the event of the death of the Policyholder or a Dependent Child , 85 subject to all the terms and conditions of the Thari ya Baruti Funeral Policy as it applies to the Policyholder or a Dependent Chil d 86 a s Assured Live s 87 (including without limitation, the Waiting Periods, exclusions and limitations as set out in the Thari ya Baruti Funeral Policy); and/or 83 Amended with effect from 1 April 2024. 84 Amended with effect from 1 April 2024. 85 Amended with effect from 1 April 2024. 86 Amended with effect from 1 April 2024. 87 Amended with effect from 1 April 2024.
