54 Funeral Benefits in terms of this Thari ya Baruti Funeral Policy, may be paid. A failure to do so, may result in a Claim being rejected. 66 4.7 In the event that the Insurer becomes aware that a Dependent Child is covered under more than one Thari ya Baruti Funeral Policy which will result in statutory maximum amounts indicated in clause 4.3 of this Part II being exceeded, the Insurer may, without limitation to its rights in terms of this Thari ya Baruti Funeral Policy, cancel the cover of the Dependent Child to ensure that it remains compliant with the Applicable Law s. 67 5. Nomination of Beneficiary 5.1 Where a Thari ya Baruti Funeral Benefit is payable to a Beneficiary (other than the Policyholder), the Policyholder must nominate a Beneficiary to receive the Thari ya Baruti Funeral Benefit by completing such details in the MPP Form. 5.2 The Policyholder may change or withdraw the nomination of a Beneficiary at any time before payment of a Thari ya Baruti Funeral Benefit, provided that such change or withdrawal is made in writing by completing an AMPP Form, or contacting the call centre as provided for in clause 14.2.1.2 of Part I. 5.3 The nomination of a Beneficiary will not confer any rights on the Beneficiary until such time as a Thari ya Baruti Funeral Benefit becomes payable. 5.4 The nomination of a Beneficiary will automatically be cancelled in the event of the Beneficiary predeceasing the Policyholder and/or dying simultaneously with the Policyholder. 5.5 If the Policyholder (i) fails to nominate a Beneficiary; or (ii) the Beneficiary - 5.5.1 was not validly appointed; 5.5.2 is under the age of 18 (eighteen) years at the date of the happening of an Insured Event, or otherwise legally disqualified; 66 Amended with effect from 1 April 2023. 67 Amended with effect from 1 April 2023.
