2 • It must be noted that this notification is only a summary of the amendments made to the documents listed above. For a complete record of all the amendments, please review all the amendments in the manner as described in paragraph 5 below. • In the event of a conflict between the amendments described in this summary of amendments notification, and the amendments as set out in the various addendums, the latter will prevail to the extent of the conflict. 3. AMENDMENTS TO MASTER REGULATIONS, PAYMENT RECEIPT BOOKLET AND THE PUKWANAYA KGANYAMEMBERSHIP TERMS AND CONDITIONS BOOKLET • Under Section 21C and 26B of the Financial Intelligence Centre Act ( “FICA” ), an accountable institution (being Sanlam and KIA) is required to carry out on-boarding and ongoing party due diligence (PDD) checks and sanctions screening on all their clients and where applicable, the persons acting on behalf of clients that are conducting business with such accountable institutions ( “FICA checks” ). • With effect from 1 January 2026 the Master Regulations, Payment Receipt Booklet and the Pukwana ya Kganya Membership Terms and Conditions Booklet will be amended to reflect the following: - a person will only qualify as a Member if he/she (i) is a member of the ZCC; (ii) is 18 years or older; (iii) has purchased a Membership Book; (iv) has paid a Membership Contribution; and (v) has successfully passed all the FICA checks as required in terms of FICA before the commencement of Membership and at such other intervals as may be required. - if the FICA checks are – o successfully completed , SDM will notify you thereof and waive the requirement to receive notification of acceptance of the offer from you; or o not successfully completed , SDM will notify you and no offer for insurance cover and Benefits of Membership will be extended to you and you will not be entitled thereto. Should you fail the FICA checks, this also means that you may not be or become or continue to be a Member of the Trust.
