26 1.5 To amend clause 9.2 to include the reference to “Insurance cover and basic needs benefit through grocery vouchers in terms of the Basic Needs Benefit Policy” throughout clause 9.2 and to make it clear that the Pukwana ya Kganya Contract now comprise three, and no longer two, insurance Policies, with effect from 1 April 2023. The insurer of the policies is Sanlam. 1.6 To amend Sanlam’s contact details to 086 123 5433. 1.7 Due to the need by the Trust to pay the Premiums to Sanlam in terms of the Basic Needs Benefit Policy, the Trust will apply the Membership Contributions differently than how it is stated in the Membership Terms and Conditions Booklet. With effect from 1 April 2023, the Trust will make the following payments from the monthly Membership Contributions received: Premium to the Insurer in terms of the Pukwana ya Kganya Contract R74.75 Services fee to KIA R18.75 Donation to the ZCC R11.17 Retained by the Trust R4.33 Retained by Church Branch R1.00 TOTAL R110.00 The Premiums payable in terms of the Basic Benefits Policy will initially be paid from the Trust’s funds without any increase in Membership Contributions. 1.8 To provide expressly that payments made by Sanlam to the Trust as a premium refund, shall form part of the Trust’s funds, to be applied for your benefit as a beneficiary of the Trust. The new clause 9.2.7 reads as follows: 9.2.7 In the event that the Insurer repays any premiums to the Trust, such repayment will form part of the Trust’s funds, and will be applied by the Trust for the benefit of the Members.
