19 “Inception Date” means, notwithstanding the Effective Date, the date upon which cover for all Assured Lives in terms of this Pukwana ya Kganya Contract commences, which Inception Date is determined in the manner set out in i) clause 7.2 of this Part I for Members (as Policyholders) other than Existing Members and Basic Needs Existing Members; ii) clause 6 of Part IV in respect of Existing Members (other than Basic Needs Existing Members); and clause 3 of Part V in respect of Basic Needs Existing Members; 5. By deleting clause 12.4 of Part I, which disallowed a father to cover a Dependent Child on his Membership other than in certain instances. With effect from 1 April 2023, a father will be able to cover a Dependent Child on his Membership, subject to the new limitations as set out in the Funeral Policy and set out in clause 5.2 below. 6. By amending clause 13.4 of Part I dealing with payment of Claims, as follows per the underlined portions: 13.4 Payment of Claims 13.4.1 Funeral Policy and Dread Disease and Personal Accident Policy 13.4.1.1 Claims in terms of the Funeral Policy and Dread Disease and Personal Accident Policy shall be settled by the Insurer by electronic funds transfer (“ EFT ”) into the bank account nominated by the Beneficiary upon submission of the Claim. 13.4.1.2 The nominated bank account must be a bank account held with a South African bank, and payment will be made in South African Rands into such bank account. 13.4.2 Basic Needs Benefit Policy 13.4.2.1 Claims in terms of the Basic Needs Benefit Policy will be settled by the Insurer by way of Vouchers.
