Enhanced Benefits Regulation

1 1. Definitions 1.1 In these Enhanced Benefits Regulations, unless the context indicates a contrary intention, the following words and expressions bear the meanings assigned to them and cognate expressions bear corresponding meanings: 1.1.1 " Additional Funeral Benefits " means an amount equal to 50% of the funeral benefits provided to Members, other than Church Officials, in terms of the Funeral Policies; 1.1.2 " Additional Personal Accident Benefits " means an amount equal to 50% of the personal accident benefits provided to Members, other than Church Officials, in terms of the Dread Disease and Personal Accident Policies; 1.1.3 " Basic Benefits Regulations " means the Basic Benefits Regulations issued by the Trust from time to time in accordance with the provisions of the Trust Deed and the Master Regulations in respect of the Basic Benefits, including all annexures and schedules thereto, as amended from time to time as provided for in the Trust Deed, read with the Master Regulations; 1.1.4 " Commencement Date " means the commencement date of these Enhanced Benefits Regulations, being 1 January 2023; 1.1.5 " Dread Disease and Personal Accident Policy " means the Dread Disease and Personal Accident Policy concluded between a Member (in his/her capacity as policyholder (as this term is defined in the Insurance Act)) and an Insurer, in respect of dread disease benefits and personal
