Basic Benefit Regulations As amended 1 April 2023 (unsigned for website)(19423280.1) 1 1. Definitions 1.1 In these Basic Benefits Regulations, unless the context indicates a contrary intention, the following words and expressions bear the meanings assigned to them and cognate expressions bear corresponding meanings: 1.1.1 " Basic Ancillary Benefits " means all ancillary benefits provided and/or procured by the Trust for the Members, who qualify for the Basic Ancillary Benefits, as set out in regulation 6; 1.1.2 " Basic Benefits " means the membership package available to Members who qualify for the Basic Benefits as set out in regulation 6; 1.1.3 " Basic Benefits Regulations " means these Basic Benefits Regulations issued by the Trust from time to time in accordance with the provisions of the Trust Deed and the Master Regulations in respect of the Basic Benefits, including all annexures and schedules thereto, as amended from time to time as provided for in the Trust Deed, read with the Master Regulations; 1.1.3A " Basic Needs Benefit Policy " means the Basic Needs Benefit Policy concluded between a Member (in his/her capacity as policyholder (as this term is defined in the Insurance Act)) and an Insurer, in respect of the basic needs benefit as set out therein. The Basic Needs Benefit Policy forms part of this Pukwana ya Kganya Contract, and is concluded pursuant to a Member's Membership to the Trust, as provided for
