2 IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR MEMBERS OF THE CHURCH As a member of Zion Christian Church, it is common knowledge that we embrace the principle of peace amongst men and women of all nations and creeds. It is worth remembering that a good and dedicated member with the rest of the congregation does not: • Smoke; or • Drink any alcoholic drink, including tribal beers or concoctions. A member of Zion Christian Church should: • attend Church at least once a month even when he or she is away from home; • not attend or send his/her children (natural children, adopted children or wards) to any initiation school; and • ensure that his/her family continues to adhere to all the above and all other Church regulations. IMPORTANT DEFINITIONS Detailed terms and conditions relating to Membership of the Trust are contained in a separate Membership Terms and Conditions Booklet. Definitions used in this Payment Receipt Booklet are contained below, and must be considered with the Membership Terms and Conditions Booklet: AMPP Form means an Amended Member’s Personal Particulars Form as set out in this Payment Receipt Booklet, to be completed by you as a Member when making changes to your Membership to the Trust. If you complete an AMPP Form, the duplicate thereof must be affixed to this Payment Receipt Booklet. Basic Benefits means the membership package available to Members (other than Church Officials who are Members) who qualify for Basic Benefits in terms of the Basic Benefits Regulations, as explained fully in the Membership Terms and Conditions Booklet. Basic Benefits means the Basic Benefits Regulations issued by the Trust in respect of the Basic Benefits. A copy of the Basic Benefits Regulations is included in the Membership Terms and Conditions Booklet as Annexe B. Benefits means, collectively, the Basic Benefits and the Enhanced Benefits as may be applicable. Church Branch means a South African church registered as such with the ZCC. Church Official means the Committee Members, the ZCC youth committee members, Moria staff members, and any other official(s) designated by the ZCC, in consultation with the Trustees, as Church Officials in accordance with the Master Regulations.
